The helmet breaths very well, I was no hotter than when I just wore a standard helemt without the face shield. it is light and comfortable. Fortunately I've not needed the face shield yet, but I push myself a little more becuase I feel so protected. And the comfort is amazing. It protects your head completely.It was a little snug on my head at first but once I wore it a couple times it loosened just a little. It breathes realistically well for a full face helmet. Some things I didn't expect: It is much lighter then I would have expected, which is great. No reason for the carbon one honestly. Also, I live in an area with lots of bug life. And you know when you hear that buzzzZzz right next to your ear and it scares the crap out of you cause you think its a bee. Well its even worse when riding a difficult trail, but thankfully this thing blocks your ears from that, another great thing I never expected.
